Pre year end tax planning for the self employed

It’s nearly the end of the tax year and if you are self employed here are some ideas that could reduce your tax bill. I don’t recommend spending purely to save tax but if its needed then consider this expense now rather than in a few months time.

If you need to upgrade your Computers for Windows 11 consider this before the end of the tax year rather later as on 14th October Windows 10 support ceases.

If you are thinking about any other larger purchases such as a new phone ,printer, webcam or camera in the next few months then if you purchase it before the year end you will get 100% written off profits in this year instead of the next tax year.
